I stopped a random woman, and asked her what does she love about her Louis Vuitton. Many women carry Louis Vuitton bags now more than ever. What is the appeal? Well, for me it shows hard work, fashion, comfort; most of all, value. Value of the money you spent. I remember being fresh out of high school and college, carrying a Nine West handbag. What I hated most about my Nine West bag was the threads would come undone easily. I hated the fact, I spent so much money -at the time- on a hand bag for it to unravel, so quickly! 
We carry what we value, more importantly, we value what we carry!
